Love.

So, I am feeling a little sick again. Slept earlier this evening, now I am just restless. Figured I would put my insomnia to good use and edit a few recent pictures. I came across this one I took of my daughter all bundled up at the soccer game this past weekend and just had to share. This little sweetheart just melts my heart!

Is he really old enough?

It has been awhile. I have been very busy...trying to stay well, and enjoying my family! Caleb has started playing soccer. I can't believe my baby boy has grown so quickly! I blinked and now he is 4, reminding me all the time that he will be 5 soon...

(not until December, but too him that is soon!)
I am looking forward to what this summer will bring- Lots of playing and sunshine, bubbles and sidewalk chalk... and many more blog updates!

The sun is shining again here in Ohio!

I am in love with the pure essence of childhood.

The sheer innocent joy in a child's face over the things that adults take for granted.
Leaves, sunshine, snow, butterflies, ants, rain, swings, clouds.
Have you ever just sat back observed how a child embraces each new day?
How quickly they are to forgive, forget and love?
Children are amazing!

PS. These beautiful hats were made by my talented friend Kristy, you can find her work at,

Happy Birthday Sara!

Cousins Adalyn and Alina in their matching outfits.

My sick baby did not want to smile for anything!

Alina did though, and I got some beautiful pictures of her!

My husband Ross and Nannie.

Isn't she a beautiful woman?!

My kids love birthdays!

Sara blowing out her candles with a little help!

Happy Birthday Sara!
Yesterday we spent the day celebrating my husband's, Aunt Sara's birthday. It was a wonderful day of laughing, playing, and spending time with family. Although I spent most of the day sick, that still did not keep me from taking a few pictures!

My little musician...

My little man is obsessed with instruments.
Any instrument. Anything that makes music.

It is such a joy to watch my two babies interact.
They love each other so much. Caleb calls Addy his "best friend", and Addy follows Caleb around the house with such admiration.
I found them "cuddling" on the couch together today (watching Little Bear) and Caleb could not keep his hands off of her head.
Watching them giggle, tease and sometimes antagonize each other reminds me of how too quickly they are growing up.
They both will forever be my babies, but I just want to hold onto these moments forever.
For now I will live for the minute and enjoy every second...
every laugh,
every tear,
every cherry Popsicle covered kiss.
I am so blessed!

A glimpse into the world of a four-year-old...

My sweet little boy.

Caleb is an extremely detail oriented child. Everything must line up perfectly, in his little 4-year-old mind, for him to remain happy. He clutches onto the small things in life with every ounce of innocence he has.

Lately he has had an obsession with panda bears. This morning I found him "teaching" his bears how to read. They were playing school. This is what I found; everything lined up so perfectly... Notice his large stuffed panda in front of the larger panda in the book, and the smaller one is in front of the smaller one. He found the book about panda's himself, to be honest, I did not even know we owned that book. Caleb has four stuffed panda bears, but only two are in "class" since there are only two in the photo.
Oh how I would love to hang onto moments like these forever...just freeze time right where it is.
I sure love my little boy, he is my world!
